The Health and Safety Essentials Course is designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of workplace health and safety, equipping learners with the knowledge and skills needed to identify hazards, assess risks, and implement effective safety measures. It goes beyond basic awareness by offering practical guidance on legal responsibilities, emergency response, and the creation of a strong safety culture. Workplace accidents and illnesses can have severe consequences for individuals and businesses. A proactive approach to health and safety helps prevent injuries, reduces absenteeism, improves productivity, and ensures compliance with legal regulations. This course empowers both employees and employers to take an active role in maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
By the end of the course, learners will understand safeguarding concepts, identify signs of abuse, recognise legal and regulatory frameworks, respond appropriately to concerns, implement safeguarding policies, promote person-centred practice, and support vulnerable adults in making safe decisions.
